Preparing for a Possible Government Shutdown

Good day Volunteers:

As many of you are aware, annual federal appropriations for the government expires on September 30, 2013. Although Congress and the Administration are trying to avoid this lapse in appropriations, prudent management requires that we be prepared for all contingencies, including the possibility of a government shutdown next Tuesday, October 1.

Please be advised that in the case of a shutdown, volunteers will not/should not report for duty.

We will keep you informed if there are developments in this situation that would affect you. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and patience through this process.
